Precise Online Ruler is a free browser-based measurement tool. You can use it without an account. Features and availability may change, and access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons.

Measurement accuracy and your responsibility

On-screen measurements depend on your display, pixel density, operating system settings, browser zoom, and calibration. Device estimates and screen-diagonal calculations may not match the physical size shown on your screen.

Check the scale against a known physical reference before relying on a physical measurement. Recalibrate after changing screens, display settings, or browser zoom. CSS pixel measurements describe on-screen distances and do not by themselves establish physical dimensions.

The tool is intended for everyday reference. Do not rely on it as the sole measuring instrument for medical, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or other work where an incorrect measurement could cause injury or significant loss. Use an appropriate, verified measuring instrument for those purposes.

Acceptable use

Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt its operation, gain unauthorized access to systems, introduce malicious code, or use automated traffic in a way that impairs the service for others.

The website’s name, branding, design, and content may be protected by intellectual property laws. Access to the website does not transfer ownership of those materials. Any separately licensed software or assets remain subject to their respective licenses.
